Matters of Science

The movement is still in the concept stage,
a work of fine machining and
three dimensional poly plastic laser printing.
The mock ups have been shaved in clay and
were very well reviewed
by the finance committee and the board for
environmental safety.
Clearance for human testing is
a matter of course and capital for the production run
is but a matter of source.
Already it is a shoe in
for every major engineering award and
there will be no public offering so I'd like to get you
in on the ground floor
for the beta flight of the first battery
because "world changing" will be an
eventuality.

You see, testing a hug
as powerful as this and collecting data points
on how fast the heat it generates grows
inside a human body can't be done
with a lick of reliability
from a laboratory or half empty home,
so I'm asking you
as a matter of science
to put your digits on this bar napkin and
do your part in remaking the known
limits of limbs a thing of the past.
If I didn't think the consequences
were massive enough to touch off
a new epoch for the human race
I would not be here with this request
in search of someone to push
the test's next step
at an hour come so late.
